The nearast I know of now is in the Northwest suburbs.
As far as I know she is still single and has recently become a legal
resident of the USA.
Here is the story as best I know:
Her sister stopped a man that jogged past her home often. She only knew
what he told her.
She told him about her sister in Northern China that she would like
have marry a man here.
He went to visit her and they got along fine.
He returned here and pretended to both sisters that he wanted to marry
her.
Let me tell a little about the man now.
A group of about 10 men would often gather in the business place of a
Filipino in late afternoon. The man and I were part of the group. He
had a reputation of being perverted.
We believed at one time he was the principle of a school somewhere in
the East and lost his job for messing with the girl students.
He would brag to our group about having the girl come here but he was
not going to marry.
Back to the story:
She came to the USA with the help of her sister.
She moved in with the man. She did not stay long with him. We thought
she was she was in Chinatown but she told me later she was with her
sister.
The man became very sick and she returned to nurse him.
He died. She thought she would return to China but decided to get
information from our immigration people. With the help of references
from friends she has been granted residence in the USA.
I am not up to date on her love life. My wife, Gina, would know but
Gina will be in France for 2 more weeks.
The girl works in a small Chinese restaurant near our home but I have
never been there. Gina brings carry-outs for me.
The 2 sisters are good friends of Gina.
