Agree with Mr. David here ...

The very basic thing in having a debate or discussion is to reali2 that everyone got a right to say what they want and that we have to honor their point of mind, and has to be able to state our mind in a polite and good manner.

There's always chances the debate will end up as an argument and spoiled most of the debaters :)

Sharon's statement "My criterion in hubby" sparked off a healthy,lively and interesting debate. A good debate is very educational and enjoyable however once derogatory name calling began the debate was no longer healthy or educational and should have been terminated at that point. I hope everyone involved in future debate such as this can keep it in a mature and civil air, so everyone can enjoy.
