AAR members,
I received this email from Ouch this morning.
For those that do not remember her: She was our waitress in Jasmine
Angkor Rrestaurant in Siem Reap. She asked to exchange emails to help
her to read and write English and said it was alright to give her
address to others.
She sent this good news this morning. You can see her email is easy to
understand. It seems a common practise for Khmer people to address an
old male friend as "father". There is a man in Phnom Penh that calls me
the same. I have many Chinese call me "Uncle". They are friends.
