[asianamericanromance] Chet in Houston would like to meet nice Asian women here

My name is Chet. I'm a European American(Polish-Scotch-Irish)guy in
Houston Texas. I'm very active in the Asian American community with the
Houston Viet Info Network. You can do a search on my name & HVIN to
learn a bit about me. I've just gone through the divorce from my
Vietnamese American wife of 3 years. I made the grave mistake of
marrying a person 20 years younger than myself. We married when she was
21 & me 41. She matured as she finished college & changed her mind
about the kind of man she wanted(decided to be more independant but also
date more successful man). I can't blame her too much, as I was much
older but should have also been wiser & not so idealistic. We still
maintain a cordial relationship but she is in Baton Rouge LA now.

My attraction is still for another Asian woman but maybe someone more
mature & closer to my age. Interestingly, my work in the Asian American
community really hasn't introduced me to many single women within my
desired age group (30-45). I teach ESL to the Vietnamese community one
night a week, moderate the HVIN website to tell about Asian American
events, participate on a slew of Asian American committees & cohost a
weekend radio program talking to Asian American small business people.
My paying career doesn't allow me to take more than 2 weeks at a time,
so travel to Asia is doubtful.

Even with this I find it difficult to meet appropriate single Asian
women. Any other realistic ideas for meeting Asian ladies here?

[asianamericanromance] Hello

Hi, I just joined this group. I am not Asian but I find Asian men
attractive and had a friend (I thought to be a good friend) that I
enjoyed being around and who is Asian and we have a daughter now.
Well, I have a daughter now, he isn't in the picture anymore. I would
love to meet people around my area who would help me to give her more
knowledge of her heritage. I don't speak Chinese (she is half Chinese)
but would love to learn a little so that as she grows I could perhaps
teach her. Anyways, just really wanted to kinda introduce myself and
let ya know why I am here.
