Again you brought up a nice topic.
About my story will tell you after my trip is done :)
I thin I understand why she told you that it is better to choose a man that love u more than you love him. To some people, especially our mothers, believe if the man love us more than we love them, the man will willing to do anything to us, and will always shower us with his love.
2nd reason, I think because its due to our weakness. We women somtimes can be blinded with the love we feel. And when that happen, it will make most women can't think logically, but more with feeling. And when that happen, women will do crazy things and willing to take any risk to get the love they feel.
3rd reason, if the man love us more, then when something happen, it will not be hurting as much as when we love him more. Which is no logic at all in my opinion. No such thing as it hurt us less or more when we love him less or more. Hurt is hurt and I hate it :p
Well for me, I rather to choose a man who love me in a simple way. Love me, just the way I am, and trust me, as much as I love him and trust him. Love without trust, love will surely die.
Nothing wrong if we want to love him more, as long as we know when to stop and when to accept reality. The sad part, not many can do that.

What you adviced about the swing moods is so true. I should always keep in mind and try to get out to control.
Someone asked me (38 year old taiwanese married housewife) whether I would like to marry with someone I love him more or he loves me more.
I told her, it's doubtless that I would want to love him more than he. She told me I am so stupid.
And I explained to her about my thinking that if I love him more,it will make me feel want to love him happily and hence he would love me happily in return, but if I love him less, that will be the other way around. So I would rather to marry with someone I love him more.
She still told me I am so stupid. She told me she loves his husband, but she knows that her husband loves her more than she does.
I think I am starting to believe what she told as stupidity. But I would still marry someone I love more than he does with a condition that he would know to cherish in consideration of my personality and thinking until I feel I got tired .. then I will just stay single since there is no such a man worth my love.
I heard about a story some man loved his wife but still had affair with others he felt like to be with. He kept the principle no kids with others. Of course I would never marry any fucker like him. But I just take him as example that I would chose someone who at least knows to defend his love on me in a marriage, then I won't mind I love him more than he loves me.
Too profound ? Of course my future husband had better be intelligent enough to love me lol... It's just the worst situation I could think of, but it would be better if I could find someone we are just attracted to each other unconditionally.
But it's too hard. Because those who would love me blindly, I might not like. Those who I love blindly, he might not love me. Need both two to be blind. lol
