Nah; Thai wives' are best. It's not just the food that is spicy.

What's that song?

"One night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble

Not much between despair and ecstasy…."

Ahhhhhh! The word is “blunt”, actually, my good man.

I truly think we’re being scammed; there’s more holes in Williams’ tale than a rusted out colander.

I forgot about the 1-kid policy. Yeah: where did 3 kids come from?

My wife is from Thailand. We wrote for 6 months; I went over to meet her; we wrote for 3 more years & then took the plunge into marriage.

No money requests; never/ever. Married 15 years; two smart-as-whips boys. She just became a citizen and has her own business here for 12 years, now.

I won a lottery: you can, too. You just have to open your eyes and be smart.

I wrote to over 100 ladies and the tales of woe……….you cannot believe.

The kids that all of a sudden appear from nowhere; you’d be surprised how many virgin births have occurred in recent times.
I’m surprised we don’t have Christmas each and every day; twice on many days.
And the parents and grandparents that suddenly die; I truly surprised anybody is left.

The Philippines must be as void of people as the Gobi Desert. And: the number of divorces in that Catholic country! My Gawd; they all went to live in purgatory for sure.

And the gals who have 3 birthdays per year (“could you send a Swatch Watch… no! Rolex is better, thank you!”)

I write from jaded experience, fellow life travelers, and have little patience for those who are marching quickly onto the pages of the next Darwin Awards book.
One of my co-workers regularly competes for the “Village Idiot” title. He went on-line and met his “true soul mate” . 6 weeks later; he hopped the very next West-bound plane to get to the East(there’s an oxymoron in there somewhere….but; I digress). So: he gets to China and finds out she’s a guy! Not to worry! Not to be daunted!  He finds another one and marries her on his 3-week vacation. Took like 4 weeks for a landed immigrant visa and “poof!” she’s here. Oh! Sorry; this was his 4th wife. He’s now looking for #5 and it’s only been like 16 months since his marriage. He can’t sponsor another out-of-country bride ‘til his 10-year undertaking for this one is completed. And: he can’t find another victim here either. What’s a guy to do; I ask! So: he’s whining and sniveling and she’s on a spending spree for which he is financially responsible for her for another 8 years.

Let me explain: in Canada: when a spouse or anyone is sponsored for a family immigration visa we must be financially responsible for the person for 10 years. This is kinda more onerous than the typical biblical 7 year undertaking where the guy had to work for 7 years for his bride(actually 14 years to get the sister he wanted).

My wife & I have this wonderful marriage which she explained to me from the very beginning: I was told I would be loving and faithful and an all-round great guy ‘cause I had to sleep some time and she knew where all the sharp objects were in the house. Needless to say: I’m still in one piece and she’s a happy camper.  Those Thai women; great sense of humour but very serious when mad!

Anyways: methinks Williams is pulling our legs. I’m sure we’re all walking a tad lop sided from believing him.

Jerry(original Jerry; not the Captain Jerry without the boat)

Although I had a very bad and costly 8 year relationship with a filipina girl, it has not diminished my desire to continue to search for the perfect woman for me from Phils.  I just got found the wrong one first time around.  I honestly believe that they are the sweetest women in the world.

Perhaps a bit rude and crude, but Jerry has very valid points.

Expect her to want you to pay for everything and all her money will be used for the kids. If she worked in Beijing she might also be supporting additional family.

I would like to know what is her job, what city does she work in, what ages are the kids and where are they, and why does she live with her boss. There are a lot of warning signs - what signals are you receiving that something good will come of this? Does she honestly know you, your friends, what you do, and your income or savings? Those are very important to most Chinese people, and if they are educated then education is one of the things they prioritize highly. Is she Han? Can you speak all the languages she speaks? How good is her English? Where and how did you meet? Have you seen pictures of her kids or other family?
