Also, I married before I petitioned. But Then I was with her there for
10 months too. One of our friends petitioned his fiancee' and it was
declined. Don't know why. My son will be one year old the 24th of this
month. Can't wait to hold him and play with him! He, is already a
citizen of the U.S. by birth abroad(CRBA). Just letting you know. They
should be coming home soon(though I would rather be there).

Hey,
Your address should be on your petition, or at least in one of the
pages in the documentation. Which are you filing? I think mine are all
going to the NVC in New Hampshire. I will check and let you know
though. But for sure it's in the documentation. But there is a
checklist that you need to send to the NVC or whoever. Let me know,
ask me more.

Hello everyone, and Sawat-dee Khwan!

I am american-born with an interest in asians and asian culture. I
spent 18 months in Bangkok during the viet nam war, and I currently
have a chinese-born girlfriend who is a naturalized u.s. citizen.

She has been in the U.S. for almost 30 years and there are still come
traditional Chinese cultural values that she clings to which causes
conflict in our relationship from time to time.

I am glad this group is here and I hope to participate in a meaningful
way.

[asianamericanromance] Hello, I am an American man who is in a relationship with a woman from China

I wanted to reach out to this group and see if I could get some advice.
I am an American man involved in a serious relationship with a
beautiful woman living in Beijing China. I have been over to visit her
a couple times and we wish to get married. I have talked to an
immigration attorney and I am fairly comfortable with what is involved
in helping her to immigrate here to America. My question to those in
this group with similar experiences is "What can I do to make this
transition as easy as possible for her?". Her english is very good but
I want to do everything I can to help her get used to a new country. I
recognize that it will be a big culture change for her and I am
concerned about her getting frustrated or lonely during her first 6
months or year here with me. Please let me know what I can do to make
this experience as smooth as possible because I love this woman very
much and want to make her happy.
