I suggest you ask the people at the Chinese Embassy here.
I would not not only be interested in the easiest but also the
fastest.
For me a phone call to the office Gina was dealing with
speeded things a lot.
I called one day and the next day Gina was called to come in for her
papers.

Of course, I am no expert and I am not up on the latest. There are
members here far more qualified than I. I hope they give you advice.
