I know.
But: 99% : just ridonkulous!
So: I thought I’d give “shubhamthecoolboy” something to think about.
Typically we never get any “good news” out of Islamic countries: just the “bad stuff” so really: what are we to think?
I just read a news article a week ago where an Islamic court told a father it was O.K. to beat his wife: as long as he left no bruises and that beating his 22 year old daughter was “inappropriate” because of her age.
Evidently he’d taken after the wife and daughter with a knife or sword.
Another one dealt with a 25-year-old divorced woman (with 2-or-3 kids) who took her father & brother to court because she wanted to marry a man from “another tribe” but the father & brother said “No” even though they had no prospect for her. The court sided with the father & brother saying that the father “owned” the daughter.
I recall my 1st trip to Thailand and watching the young Arabic guys having breakfast with the girls they’d bought out from the bars the night before.
It’s O.K. to drink & partake of debauchery when out of the boundaries of their own country and pay for sex, but; their own women? Na Na Na.
It differed little on the Island of Mykonos in Greece; just fewer girls to choose from, but: lots of Philippine nannies were on board the yachts and made good nightly companionship and they’d be spending their newly “earned” funds on 18K & 24K jewelry in the shops the next day, too.
So when we read and see these things: what are we to think?
It’s not exactly as their own book would dictate life yet it’s thrown up at the rest of the world ad nauseum.
Not that the Christian, Catholic or Buddhist world differs greatly.
We’re all mostly the same, after all.
