I believe 'Isan' is the northeastern part of Thailand, not a province. There are many provinces in Isan, such as Udon, Ubon, and Ko-rat...etc. But of course, Isan women are generally darker than the women from the North. They also have kind of square face and flater nose bridge. They look a bit like the Laotians and their dialect sounds like Laotian too. This is not a surprise considering the fact that Laos is only a walk-over-a-bridge away. Even before the Friendship Bridge was built, the Laotians and Isan people had no problem crossing the Mae Kong River in boats and ferries. They didn't even need a passport or a visa for that purpose. Most bar-girls are from very poor families, most poorly educated, and all are after your money. So if you have a fat wallet, and want a warm body to cuddle with without much effort, a bar-girl is the right choice. But if you want clever conversations, look somewhere else.
