What is:  "teach people to be good"?

can "good" be one thing to someone else?  Is it always the same between all people?  What makes some things "good" and some things "bad"?  Can something but not bad or good?

If there is intelligent life in other worlds does our "good" and "bad" apply to them?

Is "good" and "bad" a product of evolution.  Are they defined at the base of our brain stem the evolved 100s of millions years ago before the brains cerebellum and we had reasoning?

KHWAN:
As many the members know I say Gina is half Bhuddist and half Roman Catholic.
Both of these religion teach people to be good. There is no conflict that I can see between them.
Neither religion would approve of beheading another person.

Gina was raised Bhuddist during rough times. She became friends with Catholic nuns by helping in a hospital and school in her home town.
She was Baptised by a priest from the hospital.

I was surprised after we married in 1978. Whenever we went to her home town she would take me with her to visit the nuns at the convent.

When we were in Italy we visited a convent in Rome and the mother house in Lucca.

In our home we have a very large wood carving (42"diameter) of Kwan Yin.
Kwan Yin is better known by the Chinese Bhuddist I think.

Neither of us are religious fanatics but we try to follow the teachings of our religion.
