Re: [asianamericanromance] Re: Most Romantic Asian Country

I'm sorry, I didn't word that very well.  I enjoyed my visits to Thailand very much, found the people very friendly and welcoming and would certainly like to visit again.  I definitely didn't mean to imply I preferred one over the other.

In northeast Washington state, the ratio of Thai restaurants to Philippine is about 3 to 2.  Both cuisines are popular here.

Thailand is a country that has lots of vistors and holiday goers. The Phillipines does not. So Thailand is use to having many farang from all over the West. I did not see many tourists in the Phillipines.

Go to any city in USA and you will find many MANY Thai restaurants. How many Phillipine restaurants do you know of? Food? I think Thai food more acceptable to Western stomach that Phillipine foods.

So I still not see such a great difference between the countries.

I still waiting to hear exact examples-what in Thailand is so strange to Western vistors and OK in Phillipines?
