I believe the americans or the europeans will be more comfortable in the Philippines, because of the cultural influences they have from these countries. And also the restaurants and most of the malls are based on the western influence.

plus of the advantage of the Philippines to be able to speak the english language. Plus being under 300 years in the Spanish colony and 30 years under the americans...i think
it does leave a big influence of the present situation.

You know I HAVE to ask. How is Thai culture different that what you are use to?

I been to Philippines 1 time-and it much like Thailand. But same time. It not seem like place for relaxing (or romance) and I not can imagine many American feel comfortable there.
