What the law says here, Khwan, is that whether you hired someone to kill
your spouse or not, you are still entitled to 50% of the assets in the
divorce (California law). They want to change it so that hiring a killer would
lose you the share of the assets.

As far as common sense goes, Dickens summed it up nicely in The Pickwick
Papers:

"If that is what the law says, then the law, sir, is a ass."
