If you live close to Toronto; that's like admitting you're in Purgatory.
I lived up in Bradford (just North of Toronto) for 2 years.
The worst 2 years of my life. It was HELL!
If I had a brother in Toronto and a brother in jail; I'd try to
help the brother escape out of Toronto before I'd help get the brother in jail out.
Jail is safer! Warmer! Probably friendlier, too (but; not so you want to snuggle).
Maybe Buffalo NY would be even better than T.O.
When I was in Calgary; I used to date Miss Bikini Calgary and had a heck of a great dating life.
I even dated Johnny Paychecks' daughter.
When I moved to Toronto; 4 dates in 2 years.
They were all divorced. What a shock to my system; going to young nubile bikini contestants to weathered and worn cougars.
I was so sad; I accepted the 1st job offer I could just to escape.
So: I can commiserate with your efforts to look elsewhere for a mate.
Won't find one in T.O.; fer sure, fer sure.
I remember going to O'Tooles (a night club with dancing).
The girls would hang around the dance floor so if I would ask one to dance; Geeze!;
she'd give me this withering look and say: "I didn't come here to dance."

I will pray for you.
Not being a Catholic; I do understand there is a process where
one can pray enough for someone to be released from Purgatory.
So; I'll pray and maybe you can get further away from Toronto.
