The above mentioned guys are mostly loosers there n also loosers here. Some men here married girls from China, Indonisa or Philippines etc under the same reasons you mentioned in your country.

I do have little idea about the value of 2 million usd. Believe or not, it's just a figure in my eyes since you can buy high quality of food and stuff with less money or with huge money. Mostly depends on who is the user.

No offense, but that you said that makes you sound like another looser. That means you have delusion you are a rich person comparing with in Thai. Or you want to move to Thai so that you are a rich man since you can't hardly survive in countries like USA.
I heard 56k usd per year is household income on average in California.
Depends on what you want I guess, some smart American would rather live a more decent life in other states than in expensive cost of living places.
